Our mission: To foster Mother-Daughter relationships in a philanthropic organization committed to community service, leadership development and cultural experiences.
With the guidance of its National organization and the dedication and hard work of its many Chapters across the country for more than 50 years, National Charity League, Inc. (NCL), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, has become a distinctive and well-respected mother-daughter membership organization serving women and daughters in grades 7-12. We are committed to the development of our members as leaders and are dedicated to volunteerism, supporting philanthropies through hands-on activities in communities where our Chapters exist. We hold strong the traditions of the past, which we honor through cultural education and awareness. We were established in Los Angeles, California in 1925, and incorporated in 1958. Currently NCL, Inc. has more than 150 Chapters with nearly 40,000 members that thrive in 16 states.
National Charity League, Inc., Star Chapter (NCL Star Chapter) was founded in 2003 in Katy, Texas. Today NCL Star Chapter has more than 275 members, serves 19 local philanthropies, such as, Katy Christian Ministries, Home Delivered Meals and The Westview School and contributed over 6,800 hours to our local community last year.
How to become a member of NCL Star Chapter:
In order to join NCL Star Chapter, women and their daughters (ideally in the 6th grade, entering 7th grade the following year) must be sponsored by a current NCL Star Chapter member in good standing. Prospective members must be compatible with NCL Star Chapter membership. (Compatibility is defined by those who embrace the mission and vision of the organization and are willing and able to work in harmony with others in NCL Star Chapter abiding by the policies and procedures of NCL, Inc.) Membership requires a commitment of time, service and includes a financial obligation.
